About The Position

Carmine's Import Service is actively seeking to fill the position of Service Writer. We are on the lookout for individuals who are not only dedicated but also highly oriented towards providing exceptional customer service. Join our team and become a pivotal part of our operations.

As the face and voice of our shop, Service Writers play a crucial role in our success. This position involves interacting directly with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring they receive the best possible service. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of automotive services, a friendly and engaging personality, and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards. Your role will be instrumental in fostering customer loyalty and trust, contributing significantly to the overall success of our shop.

Service Writer Responsibilities:

• Scheduling appointments with customers.
• Ensuring effective communication between service technicians and Carmine's Import Service customers.
• Inspecting vehicles and accurately diagnosing problems
• Providing estimates to customers based on parts and labor costs and deductibles, after verifying warranty coverage
• Preparing accurate repair orders, detailing problems and approving repairs
• Updating customers with any service recommendations made by service technicians
• Maintaining and enhancing knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs

Applicant Requirements:

• At least 18 years old
• Recipients of a high school diploma or GED
• In possession of a valid driver's license
• Dependable, honest and outgoing
• Available to work weekends and some holidays
